Parkgate Farm Holidays is a peaceful farmstead site with a few sheep and friendly donkeys at the foot of the Eskdale and Wasdale valleys in Cumbria's Western Lakeland. You've got easy access to the fells directly from the property, and there are also several good west-coast beaches within ten minutes' drive. There's a heritage steam railway line that runs near the farm, and there are several popular visitor attractions within easy reach such as Muncaster Castle, Beacon Museum and The Rum Story. The space We have 5 Caravans and 1 Cottage at Parkgate Farm, if you are a larger group we can accommodate groups up to a total of 38 people. The site welcomes horses and has fenced paddocks and stabling facilities if you have your own horse to bring on a riding holiday. Other things to note It is strongly recommended that you have a car to get around the local area. This is an excellent base for walking, mountain biking, horse riding and enjoying nature. If you're using sat nav to find Parkgate Farm, please make sure you're happy with the route. Some sat nav systems bring you over the mountain passes which are very narrow, steep and twisty and the route along the west coast of Cumbria on the A595 (from north or south) might be preferable, especially in the dark or in winter when the passes may be closed. A maximum of 2 pets are welcome for an additional charge of £20 per pet.
