Our breezy nature loft occupies the top floor of Kimurimuri Beachfront Villa, nestled among a canopy of mature coconut palms. Surrounded by lush greenery and just steps from one of Zanzibar’s most pristine beaches, this spacious loft is ideal for nature lovers seeking authentic island character beyond the confines of a conventional resort, without sacrificing modern comforts. Guests enjoy access to a shared swimming pool, fast Wi-Fi, backup solar power, and complimentary grocery-shopping trips. The space Kimurimuri is a low-density authentic beachfront property within tropical greenery. Elevated among the coconut palms, the loft feels like a beautiful private hideaway with plenty of space to relax. The large, enclosed master bedroom features a tailor-made king-size bed, an additional single bed, mosquito nets and air conditioning. The second bedroom is situated on a beautiful wooden mezzanine, accessed by an indoor staircase. It features a tailor-made king-size bed, mosquito nets and a fan. Its open windows are fully netted, welcoming the sea breeze. The mezzanine is especially suited to nature lovers. Birds, bushbabies and occasionally flying foxes may be heard moving outside around the traditional makuti roof, particularly at night. These natural sounds affect only the mezzanine area, and the animals remain outside the accommodation. The spacious living area includes two additional single beds. The loft is ideal for four to five guests. It also has a private kitchen and bathroom. Please note that the loft is reached by stairs and may not be suitable for elderly guests or travellers with mobility difficulties. This is self-catering accommodation, allowing you to enjoy your stay at your own pace. Several excellent restaurants are within walking distance. The whole Kimurimuri Villa contains only three independent apartments. Guests share the swimming pool, tropical garden, hammocks, barbecue and outdoor dining area, outdoor showers and toilets, and direct beach access. Other things to note There is no supermarket in Pongwe. Good supermarkets are in the neighboring town where one will find pretty much everything needed. We will support you with the shopping. Also the house provides fresh waters showers (which is very unique for places on the beach) and includes free drinking water. Further it needs to be mentioned that Zanzibar is still a cash society. The closest ATM is in Stonetown and foreign cards are not widely accepted. Also, we kindly ask all guests to respect the official check-in time (after 2:00 PM) and the check-out time (by 10:00 AM). Arriving earlier or leaving later disrupts our cleaning and preparation schedule. If the apartment is unoccupied and ready, we can offer an early check-in or late check-out at 50% of the daily rate.
