Established in 2002, The Himalayan Trout House is the first guest house to come up in the Tirthan Valley. It boasts of 8 spacious family rooms set up in the orchard with a view of the river and the forest behind. It offers a private room with a comfortable bed, attached bathroom and balcony. There is a modern kitchen that serves Indian and Continental delicacies. Common spaces include restaurant tables in the gazebo and the porch, a children's play area and ample car parking space for residents. The space The HImalayan Trout House pioneered in introducing Flyfishing to and Indian audience and over the past 2 decades has familiarised many in the sport. We provide expert knowledge and advice on the sport and the river as well as guides and the necessary equipment on hire. Guest access Guest Can Access: -The gazebo -dining spaces & -children's play area During your stay The Trout House is run by Shefali and Christopher, who live on the premises and are aided by a hand picked staff from among the local talent. Other things to note -If you wish to have your room cleaned you should inform one of the house-keeping staff and leave your keys when you go out for the day. -Keep your doors shut when you are out to prevent insects and other creepy crawlies from entering. -Eating in the bed is also not a good idea for the same reasons as it not only stains the linen but also attract ants and other insects. -Bed tea will be available from 7 am when the kitchen opens. -Breakfast timings are from 8 am to 10:30 am. The Indian Buffet lunch is served at 2 pm and held till 3 pm. Dinner is served from 8 pm till 10 pm. Dinner orders need to be placed by 5 pm. Meals will not be served in the rooms. -Packed lunch orders need to be given the night before. -Please do not pluck fruit from the orchard or attempt to climb the trees. -They help in arranging adventure activities such as angling, trekking, river crossing and other adventure activity. -Facilities like Travel Desk keep the guests at ease. - Ample parking space is provided.
