Do all things pale compared to such awe-inspiring landscapes? Most do. But not Villa Gabrielli. You’ll find she’s right at home amongst natural beauty. In fact, she adds to it with rustic grace and quiet elegance. And it doesn’t take long before you sense you’re at home, too. The space Villa Gabrielli is situated at the foot of the velvety green mountain, Prato Fiorito, a signature point of interest in the area. As you pass through her distinguished gates, you’ll notice that Villa Gabrielli is perfectly placed over Bagni di Lucca, giving you splendid views of the valley below. A romantic setting full of old-world charm, you’ll be thrilled with the villa’s wood-beamed and terra-cotta tiled ceilings, exquisite windows, shutters and doors made from the finest chestnut, and red-brick fireplace. Discover quite tranquility in any of her spacious bedrooms. If exercise is what you need, work out in the villa’s gym space. Create meals to remember on Villa Gabrielli’s built-in barbecue. Chat over candlelight with good company and good food under the wood gazebo built especially for al fresco dining. And let your cares float away as you lounge alongside the 8 x 4m luxury pool with that book you’ve been meaning to read and a fragrant glass of chianti in hand. While Villa Gabrielli is a serene place to retreat and recharge, you’ll never be at a loss for activity. The difficulty may be deciding whether you’d like to hike through the widely known canyon of Orrido di Botri, have a massage or facial at the Bagni di Lucca spa just 20 minutes down the mountain, or take a day trip to Lucca, Pisa, Florence, San Gimignano or Cinque Terre. The spectacular mountains surrounding Villa Gabrielli are ideal for adventurous hikers with a hankering for exploration. With a little bit of luck, you may catch a glimpse of wild boar, deer, jack rabbits, squirrels, or the golden eagle said to nest close to where the villa is located. Nearby you’ll find a grocery shop, 2 bars, a pizzeria and bus service. Beautiful in all seasons, Villa Gabrielli also provides the perfect refuge for skiers in the winter months. Guest access The entire place is yours. Other things to note Booking Conditions The guests and the party accept the following conditions: General information: 1. TOURIST TAX: Tourist tax is mandatory and needs to be paid during your stay. The price is €1 per guest per night until the 5th nights. Children under 14 doesn't have to pay it. 2. SWIMMING POOL: is open from May 1st thru to October 15thand it is NOT heated. If your rental period is outside this period, please check with us and it could be made possible for the pool to opened for you although highly discouraged as the water can be quite chilly. The swimming pool is not enclosed with fences and there are no lifeguards therefore we ask that it be used at their/ your own risk. 3. HEATING - Heating is available at an additional charge. Usage will be metered throughout your stay and you will be charged accordingly. Charges must be paid directly on the spot to the representative before departing. Please note that heating in Italy, when not subject to restrictions by the local Government, is more expensive compared to other countries. You may be asked a supplementary deposit for heating expenses. 4. WATER AND ELECTRICITY - Water shortages do occur; please be sure to use it sparingly during the summer months. At the same time, Italy is probably one of the few countries in the world where the government has introduced a system of electricity limitators to contain the national consumption. This means you must be careful when using more than one appliance at the same time because the limitator could shut the electricity off. Of course by just pushing the mains switch back on the electricity does come back if this were to occur. 5. INTERNET CONNECTION - The villa is equipped with Wi-Fi internet connection and it is free of charge. We ask that the internet service not be used to download any large materials such as movies as this may then cause the internet to work slower than usual. From previous experience, when a connection is interrupted due to technical reasons beyond our control, it is unfortunately very difficult, despite many efforts, to receive immediate assistance from some of the internet providers operating in Italy. We therefore strongly suggest that those who need to access their emails should bring their own BlackBerry, iPhone , laptop, notebook or a similar portable device with alternative data services.
