Lakeside Lodge is situated on the edge of Moretonhampstead, a historical Dartmoor town that offers a warm and friendly welcome to all visitors! We are just a 10-15 minute walk from the town with convenience stores and traditional Devon pubs. The lodge is perfect if peace and quiet is what you’re after, our only lodge within it’s own acre of grounds including a large fishing pond, the outlook is idyllic and private. Plenty of secure parking is provided for our guests. The space Locally, there are lots of activities on offer in our beautiful Devon countryside including walking, cycling and fishing. Alternatively, you can enjoy total rest and relaxation, good food and cosy nights! The lodge is cosy and modern with wooden flooring throughout and all of the convenience essentials you expect from luxury accommodation. Open Plan Living & Dining Area A spacious and light living area with patio doors offering beautiful countryside views and all the comforts expected of a luxury Dartmoor Lodge. Contemporary in design throughout, the 5 seated dining area is situated adjacent to the fully equipped kitchen. Large sofas take full advantage of the views on offer leaving you to fully immerse yourself in this Dartmoor retreat. Kitchen Everything you need for a weekend break or longer! Fully equipped, modern kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, hob, oven and microwave. Ample workspace with a feature island allows extra storage space for longer stays as well as ample preparation space. We always supply coffee, tea, sugar and milk as well as a Devon welcome hamper with homemade scones to get you started during your Dartmoor break. We provide dressing gowns and slippers for cosy nights in. Bedroom 1 Double bedroom with king size bed wardrobe and bedside cabinets. All bedding and bed linens supplied. Bedroom 2 Double bedroom with king size bed, wardrobe and bedside cabinets. All bedding and bed linens supplied. Bedroom 3 Single bedroom with bedside table and wardrobe. All bedding and bed linens supplied. Utility A handy essential for your stay, the tidy laundry room includes a washing machine, ironing board, steam iron and airers. Shower Room The modern and fully tiled shower room includes a shower, toilet and wash basin with heated towel rail, the perfect treat after a day exploring Dartmoor! Towels are provided for all guests. Outside Space The lodge is located within it's own one and a half acre of grounds including a fishing pond offering a beautiful setting for rest and relaxation. Very peaceful, the lodge is surrounded by trees for total privacy. There is a generous decking area to enjoy breakfast or a coffee on sunny days with table and 6 chairs. Guest access Guests have full use of the detached 3 bedroom lodge, this includes it's grounds of 5 acres as well as plenty of parking space on the main drive entrance. Access to the lodge is gated for guest privacy. There are ponds and lakes within the grounds and guests are responsible for their own safety in these areas. Other things to note Lakeside Lodge is the only Lodge on our grounds. The grounds of 5 acres are exclusive to you. Ideal for fishing, painting, bird watching or just enjoying the wild life around the ponds.
