Our centuries old two storey three bedroomed cottage is located on the perimeter of the Castle walls within a few minutes stroll of the picturesque and historically important village of Hillsborough. The cottage has a first floor central lounge and conservatory, overlooking the Race which runs the back of the cottage. The bedrooms are to either side of the lounge. This arrangement may suit an extended family. As hosts we will be delighted to offer advice on local facilities and attractions. The space You will have the entire three bedroomed cottage to yourselves. Since it is an old cottage, the ceilings are rather low especially on the ground floor (only a challenge for those particularly tall visitors!). In addition to central heating, there is a working Inglenook log burning stove in the lounge. The Race, previously an energy source for a local mill and now provides for the 'Power House' within the Castle, runs throughout the length of the cottage to the rear and is best seen from the conservatory. Free car parking is available. Guest access The Cottage has it’s own entrance. Other things to note A complimentary arrivals welcome hamper is provided to get you started. There is space in the boiler room to store one or two bicycles.
