Beautiful Fairford riverside annexe

The Bridge Annexe is within a minute’s walk of Fairford town centre where you can enjoy the Cotswolds village feel and pace of life. Perhaps visit one of the pubs, a traditional tearoom, see Fairford Church or have a a bite to eat or some pampering at the beauty salon. We are really proud of our beautiful town but also of the countryside here - within seconds you can be strolling along the River Coln with its abundant wildlife and fishing opportunities, or walking through open fields. The space The Bridge Annexe - Your very own private Cotswold bolthole in a stunning part of town. Downstairs, the sitting room has two extra-large comfortable sofas where you can enjoy a good bottle of wine and a board game in front of the smart TV, or maybe have a go on the piano. We have an excellent choice of takeaways in the village if you want a night in. Or we can recommend lots of great country pubs and gastropubs if you want an evening out. While there are no cooking facilities, there is a kitchen sink, fridge, kettle, microwave , plates and crockery - perfect for takeaways. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a king sized bed and is bright and extremely spacious, with views extending over fields and the river. In traditional Cotswold style you can expect creaky stairs, exposed beams and a quirky layout! You have your own front door and within the annexe you have your own loo and wet room with powerful shower too. These are both located downstairs. There is room for one car to park outside the annexe. The annexe does not have a garden. What to do while you’re staying at The Bridge Annexe: Spoilt for choice, Fairford is great to explore and you can walk to a lovely proper English pub or tearoom in minutes, and buy the postcard on the walk back! You can also explore the unlimited walks across the stunning countryside, organise some fishing (you are directly on the river) or visit some of the other neighbouring picturesque ‘chocolate box’ villages. The Cotswolds have over 150 lakes so along with wonderful birdwatching and wildlife, there is a big watersports scene, within a ten minute drive you can be paddleboarding, waterskiing, boating or taking a kayak. It is advisable to book these in advance and bring your own swimming towels! If you prefer land-based fun, after soaking in the wildlife with the lovely riverside walks, fishing, and having a rural picnic, you could opt for a horse riding lesson or taking bikes out instead. Within drivable distance you can also check out the Heritage Railway, the spectacular Sudeley Castle, Cotswold Falconry Centre and Cotswold Lavender Farm (June-August is Lavender season). For foodies, there are some excellent gastropubs within a short drive and which we highly recommend. We are lucky to be close to some really special places to eat out, but you’ll want to book in advance as they are really popular. Fairford is also very famous for its annual air show Fairford Air Tattoo. We are also in close proximity to Cirencester Park polo and Chetenham horse racing festival - please enquire with us for more information about special events.
