Or even skip an age and book yourself a barge ride through on the longest, deepest canal tunnel in the UK. So leave the car parked up, plentiful on street parking, and explore the region. Other things to note Please inform us if you intend to bring your pet along. We have a maximum of 1 dog policy. Marsden is a vibrant Pennine village full of busy cafes, eateries and bars with its own brewery, bakers, butchers and village owned grocer. Surrounded by Marsden Moor on the edge of the Peak District the area offers miles and miles of outdoor activity, be it cycling, running or walking. And the local reservoir at Sparth offers a great spot for paddle boarding, wild swimming or fishing.
