The cottage "Il Torrino" can lodge from 2 to 5 people. Il Torrino is an historic and bright house and it offers, from one side a unique panoramic view over the Chianti hills and on the other side a view over a small square of the medieval town of Barberino Val d'Elsa. The space Il Torrino (4 +3 people) is an historic, bright and panoramic house. The kitchen of the house has been built within a small and ancient defensive tower, which is part of the town walls dating back to the XIII century, this tower is called 'Il Torrino'. The ground floor of the apartment consists of a large dining room, a kitchen, a living room and a laundry room. The dining room is characterized by a big table, two armchairs and by the presence of the kitchen, placed in this small tower. The kitchen is well furnished: there is the fridge, freezer, oven, gas cooker and the dishwasher. The living room has a sofa-bed, two armchairs, a table, a fireplace and a large window with panoramic views of the Chianti hills. On the ground floor ther is also a laundry room with washing-machine and laundry tub. On the first floor there is: a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and an attic with a single bed; a bedroom with two single beds; a big bathroom with shower, bathtub, wc, bidet and washbasin; a balcony looking down on the appealing small square of the town. The whole house has been finely restored: it is furnished with period pieces, but it is at the same time confortable. Guests will enjoy the ample-sized rooms where they could relax theirselves and enjoy panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside. Barberino is located in the heart of Chianti, from there you can easily reach the cities of Florence, Siena, San Gimignano (by public transport) Greve in Chianti, Gaiole, Radda, Castellina in Chianti, Volterra, Pisa, Arezzo etc. However Barberino is not just a stopping point on the way to important towns: the village has its own wine and food, cultural and artistic peculiarities. It is the perfect location for couples or families who want to relax and spend a holiday in a quiet and welcoming atmosphere of a small Tuscan town, apart from big commercial tourist centres, which are often crowded and noisy. Barberino, with a population of just one thousand people, is a restful place both for villagers and visitors. Even if Barberino is a small village, it offers many facilities: there is a restaurant, an excellent Italian pizzeria, Café Bijou with free wi-fi, a bakery open every day, the supermarket "Coop", the village library with Internet-point, free of charge parking close to the apartment. Public transport services link Barberino to close towns. Lastly, it is possible to have walking and mountain bike tours, horseback riding vacations, as well as guided tours to the village's wine cellars. Guest access The guest house is composed on the ground floor of a large living room with panoramic view, a large dining room and kitchen created inside a small medieval tower, hence the name Il Torrino, there is also a service bathroom completely renovated in 2023. On the first floor there is a large double bedroom with mezzanine and small 50s bathroom with sink and bidet, a bedroom with two single beds and a large and bright bathroom completely renovated in 2023 with shower. The house is equipped with a washing machine, a dishwasher and a balcony. At the entrance, there is also a table with chairs available to guests to enjoy an excellent glass of wine in the open air and enjoy the atmosphere of the small medieval village.
