Munkslåtta in Haltdalen, 45min from Røros (60m2)

If you need some peace and quiet, travel with kids or are looking for an outdoor adventure, you’ll probably like Munkslåtta. Our cosy apartment is situated in the basement, has it’s own entrance (we live upstairs) and offers a bedroom, kitchen, livingroom, bathroom and sauna. Enjoy crosscountry skiing right from your doorstep, go hiking or pick berries when it’s the season. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions according to travelling, options for kids (crib, chair) or anything else. The space When driving rv30 from Støren to Røros, somewhere in the middle, you find the tiny village of Haltdalen (1,5 drive from Trondheim). Our house is situated on the top of a mountain at 515m with a beautiful view over the mountains of Hessdalen (you know, that UFO place). The house is surrounded by grass land and forest. Next to the house there’s the old farmhouse, which is filled with secondhand treasures (open on request when it’s not too messy there!) and sometimes we have a little art exhibition there as well with Pauliens illustrations. Next to the old house you find the old barn. We have a vegetable garden (summer) where you can pick some strawberries or veggies. There’s a spot to make a campfire too (the whole year). We also have a trampoline and a swing available. There is plenty of space to park your car. During winter you can go crosscoutryskiing right from your doorstep or take the car to find some tracks nearby. Although it’s hard to find on your own, there are some nice hiking options in the area as well (we can offer you a map with information). Other things worth to mention are Haltdalen stave church, the waterfall Eafossen, the old houses and history of Røros (Unesco) and Forollhogna nationalpark. Guest access Guests have access to their own kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and sauna. Our garden, trampoline and campfirespot are also free to use. The washingmachine can be used on request (it’s not in the apartment). Other things to note The kitchen is used as artstudio when there aren’ any guests. When you stay at our place the ktichen is all yours ofcourse, but don’t use any art supplies without permission. If you are curious or want to use something please ask us.
