Light-filled, refinished, private-entrance apartment in Cayuga Heights, a tree-lined neighborhood adjacent to Cornell University. Features a living room with pull-out sofa, eat-in kitchen, large bedroom, and bathroom. Walk to Cornell or take the bus (which goes directly to campus, shopping, and downtown). Ideal for visiting scholars and visitors to Cornell, Ithaca, and the Finger Lakes region. Please note that this property is available only for stays of more than 30 days. The apartment is a favorite with Visiting Scholars and Cornell families. It consists of a large bedroom with a queen bed, study desk and reading chair; a living room with a pull-out sofa; an eat-in kitchen; a bathroom with shower and tub; and ample storage. In warm weather, guests can also enjoy eating outside--a small, outdoor bistro table is provided. Guests have full access to the entire apartment, as well as to a small treed space outside with a bistro table in warm weather. We live in the main house and are available to answer questions or offer tips about sightseeing and amenities in the area. The apartment in located in the historic Cayuga Heights neighborhood. Home to many of Cornell University's faculty, the neighborhood abuts the University. An easy ten-minute walk along the sidewalks of Cayuga Heights takes you to the edge of campus; in 15 minutes you can be in the heart of the Arts Quad. A ten-minute walk takes you to bakeries, one of Ithaca's best restaurants, and the edge of campus. If you prefer, however, a bus stops three houses down the street and will take you to campus, downtown, or the mall. Or park your car in our drive and explore at your own pace. If you would like to bike, please inquire as we may be able to loan you one to use during your visit. Please note that this property is available only for stays of more than 30 days.
