Description
Historic Cotswold stone cottage. Grade II listed, thought to have been built around 1600. This cosy cottage, located in a village in its own hidden valley, is a perfect hideaway. Lots of walks, a fantastic country pub (that serves great food) 2 minutes' walk away. But the centres of Stow and Bourton just 3 miles away. Naunton Downs golf course that allows day guest membership 5 minutes' drive away. Adam Henson's Cotswold Farm park - great for kids, 10 minutes' drive away. Large garden. The space The atmosphere of the cottage with original 1600 beams, windows floor and fireplace make the living room very special. There is central heating throughout as well as the log burner in the ground floor fireplace. The first floor bedroom has original beams and a beautiful view to the hills opposite whilst being modern, bright and airy. From the top floor bedroom it is possible to see horses in one direction and sheep in the other! The bedrooms are arranged as one double super-king and one twin. But they can be arranged as two double super kings or 4 twin beds. WE CAN ALTER THIS, BUT WE REQUIRE A WEEK'S NOTICE. Guest access Access is up a shared pathway. The lawn Area immediately to the front by the road isn't mine, and you need to keep to the pathway. Once through the gate towards the cottage, No3 is the one on the left and the safe lock is beneath the postbox on the left of the front door. At the back of the house there is a shared pathway, turn right, and you will see a wooden gate with "3" on it that gives access to the garden. Other things to note This is a cottage in a historic terrace. There are neighbours both sides, so please do be considerate to those around.
