Villa in Petrella Salto
La Caprareccia
Description
This beautiful farmhouse nestled in the Cicolano mountains, between Lazio and Abruzzo, enjoys a privileged position from which the gaze ranges from Lake Salto to Monte Velino. Perched at 900 meters above sea level, near Castel Mareri, the Caprareccia was born from the ruins of an ancient goat barn, from which it takes its name, preserving the finishes and materials typical of the place. The space The farmhouse is accessed through a large wrought-iron driveway gate: on the ground floor there is a bathroom and three large living rooms connected to each other (without doors), while, on the upper floor, there are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The first hall has a unique feature: the main wall, which supports the wooden staircase, is entirely made of the rock on which the ancient castle stood. The second living room, conceived as a play area, has a pool table, a chessboard and musical instruments that can entertain guests, and in the winter months, it will be possible to warm up in front of a beautiful stone fireplace. The third living room is the heart of the house: a red brick arch divides it into two rooms. The first, with a corner sofa placed in front of a large fireplace, forms a cozy living area, while in the second, we find a large kitchen with barbecue, wood oven and a 14-seat table. To complete the structure, an ancient dry stone wall surrounds a large paved outdoor courtyard, from which you can access a beautiful stepped garden, shaded by a young willow and enriched, in spring, by the colors of the blossom.
