It is accessed up a flight of stairs from the main entrance with a short staircase in the apartment from the kitchen / dining room up to a spacious landing leading to the sitting room, bedrooms and a family size bathroom with a shower, roll top bath and a lovely glass lantern ceiling. But please bear in mind that Ventnor is hilly and therefore all the properties are on a slop to some degree or another. Clarence House has a few long shallow steps from the road up to the house. The entrance to the apartments is up some steps through the garden that is at the rear of the property. Albert apartment is at the top of the house, up a further flight of stairs once inside.
