Our updated Queen Anne Style home built in 1890 makes for a warm and friendly environment for you to gather during the day and rest your head at night. Located just six mins from Downtown and two mins from Marquette Univ. , we are a convenient stay. We welcome long and short term guests visiting for pleasure, education, or business purposes. The Foote Manor MKE by SRK Residential Rentals was built in the Queen Anne style in 1890. Being 130+ years old brings an old-world charm with an original coal fireplace, oversized doors/windows, and formal living and dining areas. The manor has been updated with modern conveniences, including forced air heating and air conditioning, electrical receptacles in all rooms, and wifi access both inside and outdoors. Each of the guest rooms has original hardwood floors, queen size beds, nightstands, chairs, TVs, keypad door locks, and closets. This is a four-bedroom residence where we live and work. Guests have access to the first and second floors of the manor (excluding the basement, garage, and attic) including the outdoor porch and backyard lounge. We are more than happy to provide assistance and directions during your stay at the Foote Manor MKE. Our neighborhood is known as Avenues West and is located within the city of Milwaukee and adjacent to Marquette University. We are very close (20 min walk) to The Domes which have three different climates inside housing plants and animal species from all over the world. The manor is also close to Miller Stadium, home of the Brewers baseball team. There are several other Victorian era homes on the surrounding streets which make for an interesting walk. Avenues West is an "up and coming neighborhood" that is quickly transforming into one of Milwaukee's more desirable neighborhoods. However, it would be recommended to not walk around alone at night. As in any large city, one must be cognizant of their surroundings at all times. We are a two block walk to Wisconsin Ave, where guests can catch local public transit bus lines (30 line - UWM Via Maryland). Car service Uber is available in Milwaukee and can quickly whisk you to any part of the city. We are only about 6 minutes away from Downtown Milwaukee, by car, where one can visit museums, enjoy fine dining and nightlife, be active along Lake Michigan's shoreline, or enjoy one of the city's many festivals. We live in a residential neighborhood where a parking permit is required from 2am to 6am daily for parking on the street (except Sunday).
