Woodlands House / Modern Cabin Near Mt. Hood
An Idyllic Modern Cabin tucked away in a private PNW forest with Hot Tub
Description
Set on five private acres of old-growth forest, the Woodlands House is a four-bedroom cabin retreat designed for slowing down and reconnecting with nature. Warm woods, natural textures, and thoughtful details give the home a sense of quiet comfort. Sip coffee above the stream, gather around the wood-burning stove, and end the day soaking in the hot tub beneath towering trees. Though tucked into the forest, the house is about 30 minutes from both Mount Hood and the Columbia River Gorge. The space The main level is the heart of the house, where vaulted ceilings and large windows bring the surrounding forest into the living space. A wood-burning stove anchors the room, with a well-equipped kitchen and dining area nearby for slow breakfasts and meals together. This level also has two bedrooms with queen beds and one full bathroom. Upstairs, you’ll find the primary bedroom with a king bed, another full bathroom, and an open loft. A compact fourth bedroom with a twin bed sits just off the loft and is especially well suited to a child or smaller guest. Altogether, the house sleeps up to seven guests across four bedrooms. Two decks extend the living space into the trees. The main deck overlooks a small stream and features a private six-person hot tub, an inviting place to unwind while surrounded by the sights and sounds of the forest. Throughout the home, warm natural materials and thoughtfully chosen details create a comfortable, understated atmosphere that keeps the surrounding landscape at the center of the experience. Guest access Guests have private access to the main and upper levels of the Woodlands House, along with both decks and the hot tub. On-site parking is available near the home. You are also welcome to explore the wooded grounds behind the house, including the trails and small stream. The Woodlands House shares the five-acre property and driveway with the Woodlands Hideout, a separate tiny cabin located approximately 200 feet away. The driveway winds past the Hideout before reaching the Woodlands House, so you may occasionally see guests staying there as you arrive or depart. Beyond the shared drive, the house, decks, and hot tub remain private, tucked quietly among the trees. Other things to note An Airbnb reservation includes private use of the main and upper levels of the home. The lower level remains locked and unoccupied throughout your stay and is never rented to another group. Cell service is limited on the property. The Wi-Fi connection is generally stable, but speeds are modest and may not support bandwidth-intensive work or multiple video calls at once. For cozy evenings indoors, the home has satellite television with movie channels and a DVD/Blu-ray player. Although the property feels secluded, it is surrounded by a rural, working landscape. From time to time, you may hear nearby tractors, livestock, or distant firearm use. A separate shop and groundskeeper space is also located on the acreage and may occasionally be in use. As with many rural properties, power outages can occur a few times each year. An automatic standby generator keeps essential systems operating, although high-draw amenities such as the hot tub may be temporarily unavailable until utility power is restored.
