Spend the night in our small hut on one of our alpaca pastures on the edge of the Documenta city of Kassel. It is particularly suitable for a romantic weekend for two. Surrounded by beautiful nature, the starting point for many hikes, the bus is 500 m away, only three minutes to the nearest highway and yet the everyday hustle and bustle is outside this place. For pasture hygiene reasons, we cannot guarantee the presence of alpacas with every booking. Feel free to contact us. The space We would like to warmly welcome you to our small hut (tiny house). A place to stay outside the everyday hustle and bustle. Our hut is reminiscent of a small Swedish house on the outside and is located on one of our alpaca pastures, at the end of our property facing south. Our house is also located on this (about 70 m away). The hut or the meadow is located directly on a small stream overlooking the Baunsberg. On the other side is the Brasselsberg. Beautiful walks can start right outside the front door. Inside the lovingly and ecologically renovated hut, you will find accommodation in the style of a tiny house - a room with 15 square meters of floor space and another sleeping level above the small kitchen. The two beds (1.90 × 0.80 m) can be converted into a corner sofa during the day in just a few simple steps. At night, you will sleep under high-quality duvets filled with alpaca fleece from our animals. There is a small table right by the window overlooking the pasture, the stream, fields and the Baunsberg. A window overlooking the adjacent open stable of our alpacas and one that allows the view past the old apple trees to the neighbors' horses. In addition to the tiny house idea, the principle of minimalism accompanied us in the furnishing of the small hut. But some amenities should not be missing - there is hot water (but it runs into a water tank/no sewer line), electricity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth speakers, radio, a small table (where you can also work), one to three sleeping places. A compost toilet and sink are located in a separate cottage right next to the hut and in the warm months an outdoor shower (in autumn only suitable for brave people!). There is a terrace facing the stream, seating and a grill, as well as a small area to stay under an awning at the back of the hut. Our demarcated house pasture is available to you, which we only have to cross a few times a day to care for the animals or to walk the dogs. Otherwise, you can move about freely on the meadow and relax. For pasture hygiene reasons, we cannot guarantee that alpacas can be on this pasture for every stay. But please contact us in advance to clarify this point for your booking period. You can definitely meet alpacas with us if you wish! Basically, we offer alpaca hikes on site. You don't even have to meet our animals during your stay if you don't want to. Our two dogs watch over the property. The mice are driven out by our cat siblings. Fish also splash around in a small body of water. And our chickens are scratching peacefully in their enclosure. So we are not a classic farm, but a mixture of country and city life in a way tailored to us. Within a radius of 700 meters you will find a small local store (small but super well-stocked!), a bakery and two restaurants. Unfortunately, we have to close the hut in winter, as the water supply freezes at low temperatures. Guest access The described hut is available for your exclusive use. The approximately 600 square meter pasture as well. We only have to cross this meadow a few times a day for walks with the dogs and to care for the alpacas. Other things to note Right outside the door, you can go on many hikes. We also offer you more information on site. There are numerous attractions in Kassel and the surrounding area: After 750 m you will reach the Dönche Nature Reserve. On foot, you are 4.7 km from the Hercules World Heritage Site and overlook the unique mountain park. The Brothers Grimm Museum is 7 km away and Kurhessen Therme is just 5 km away. After 8 km you will be in the 150-hectare Karlsaue Park in the immediate vicinity of Kassel city center and the Orangerieschloss. The historic park invites you to stroll and linger. In the immediate vicinity is the Documentahalle, the Staatstheater and the Ottoneum Museum of Natural History. 43 km away you will find the beautiful Sababurg, the adjacent zoo and the so-called primeval forest. After 45 km you will arrive at the impressive dam of the Edersee. There is a lot to discover, or you can simply linger in the pasture and enjoy the place where you will be staying for a few days.
