Big spacious House (1h from Stockholm)

The newly renovated house from mid 19th century is located 12 km north of Malmköping. A medium sized lake for swimming and fishing is available 200 mtrs from the house.A raft to borrow is availabl. There are a variety of nice places to visit and sightseeing nearby such as Gripsholm with the historic castle dating back to the 16th century. Moose, deer and other wild animals are abundant in the forests as well as blueberries, cranberries and mushrooms. Stockholm is 80 km away. The space This is a typical Swedish red wooden country house with white corners that used be home to the widows of the blacksmiths working at the ironwork that was in the neighborhood in the late 17th century. The house with 2 floors has 2 kitchens and 2 bathrooms. It can host 9 persons in 4 double rooms and 1 single room. It has 2 living rooms which one of them has a pool table and a grand piano. There is also a dining room and outside in the garden it has a gazebo with mosquito nets so you can enjoy the evenings doing barbecue without any problems with the mosquitos. The house is situated within 200 to the sea with clean water and a lot of fishes. We have some rafts that have the size 2 x 3 m and are equipped with tables, benches and a electric motor so you can go out on fishing and even swimming. As we own a major part of the sea you don't need any license for fishing. Other things to note Stålboga is a little village in the county Södermanland 1 hour by car from Stockholm and was in the 17th and 18th century an important ironworks wherecannons gun barrels and cannonballs were produced. There are a lot of nice forest roads in the area where one can walk and even bike around. There are also in the surroundings several nice little towns to visit. The famous Royal Castle Gripsholm from the 16th century is approximately 25 minutes from Stålboga and well worth visiting as it is a museum now. In the neighborhood forests there are wild animals like Moose, Deers etc. and in the nature one can collect wild strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and lingonberries. Later on in the fall one can also pick chanterelles and porcini mushrooms.
