Riverside House is situated on the banks of the River Hamps in the village of Waterhouses in the Peak district. Stunning home with log fire and super fast broadband. Pub serving good food and ale and shop 50yds across the road. Manifold trail 100 yds. Alton Towers 7miles. The space Beautifully renovated stone cottage with many character features like beams, exposed stone and antique furniture (a labour of love). We have tried to make the cottage very Eco friendly using reclaimed materials to renovate the cottage, with solar panels and sustainable Air source heat pump heating. Pure Lakes 100% natural toiletries, Egyptian cotton bedding and towels are provided. The cottage is well equipped with all the necessary kitchen equipment including a washing machine, TV with DVD player and Bluetooth speakers and Radio. Situated on the banks of the River Hamps the cottage offers walking and cycling on your doorstep with access into the White Peak area of the Peak District by the Manifold valley trail. The hosts Sally and Andy have extensive knowledge of the local foot paths and cycling trails and will be happy to advise. The Cottage is easily accessed by car or public transport. Alton Towers is 10 minutes by car, should you require a day out. Relax by a roaring fire (a few logs provided, so bring more if you intend to have a lot of fires). The cottage has plenty of hot water to soak in the slipper bath. You can bring your dog to a maximum I’m of 2 dogs but please read the house rules and note the dog fee. The walking locally is fabulous. A real ale pub is less than 50yds away with good pub grub. The famous Yew Tree inn is a 15 minute stroll down a footpath. Cycle hire is available 100 yds away at the start of The Manifold Trail. The Market towns of Leek and Asbourne are 9 miles away with their bespoke shops and beautiful architecture. We are taking CV19 very seriously and are cleaning in line with guidance. Check in is 4pm and check out is 10am. I hope this is ok. We will provide towels and tee cloths. Guest access Car parking outside in front of the house, please do not block the pavement. Park allowing a wheel chair to pass. . Cycle hire 100yds away. Shop 25yds 2 pubs, fish and chip shop and local transport to/from Leek and Ashbourne. Wi Fi is BT infinity Super Fast broadband 6 x faster than standard broadband. To find the code it is on the card on the back of the router behind the curtain in the lounge Other things to note The cottage is on the main A523 so please expect some road noise, however the riverside location does make this cottage feel tranquil. The boring health and safety bit is - The Riverside terrace is not suitable for unsupervised dogs or children. The cottage has a log burner and a halogen hob so please be careful as could burn children's little fingers. The cottage has Roman blinds at the windows so please be cautious with small children getting wrapped in hanging cords. If you bring your dog they need to be booked in there is an extra dog cleaning fee of £40 per dog (max 2 dogs) this is so I can pay my cleaner extra time after dogs to ensure no dog hairs Please leave your key in the lock box when out and about. Any lost keys will be charged at £200 to cover all our costs. Please don’t expect instant help to get another key when a key is lost, you may need to go to the pub and wait until we can get another key to you. Thanks so much for your help with all this.
