Arden Holiday Cottage has everything you need to relax and unwind in peaceful surroundings, nestled in a quiet rural location ideally situated for rambling, bird watching, climbing, horse riding & exploring the 7 Stanes. We're delighted to be voted the Best Self Catering Accommodation Experience in the South of Scotland Thistle Awards, due to the many experiences and packages we offer,which celebrate the very best of the tourism and events industry. The space Bed linen and towels are provided in the price. We also offer a Geek Retreat short break and a Relax and Chill short break. Guests can also book our bespoke Escape Room experience during their stay which takes place in the cottage and is based on local folklore and history. We have an artist in residence who runs workshops in the stunning countryside. If the weather is rainy you can hunker down with our Boardgame Bonzana package and pass the time with friends with Ark Nova or Don’t Get Caught, or one of over 140 games in our collection. If you are feeling energetic visit one of the nearby world renowned 7 Stanes mountain bespoke bike trails in the leafy Galloway forests with easy to expert routes and skill areas. We want guests to have a peaceful, quiet place to switch off from social media and enjoy the slower pace Dumfries and Galloway has to offer. Due to our rural location the Wi-Fi speed is not super fast - emails and searching the web no problem but streaming is not possible , we do have lots of dvds to watch and books to read! Check in any day with a minimum stay of 3 nights. If the cottage is closed due to government guidance connected to Covid-19 or if travel restrictions are put in place a refund will be given.
