Top Shippon is nestled in the lovely village of Great Longstone. Offering a cosy yet spacious 2 bedroomed holiday home it's the perfect place for a relaxing break, with a friendly village scene on the doorstep. Featuring 2 double bedrooms, spacious social & dining spaces, a lovely garden, free WiFi & off-street parking. There are 2 great village pubs just up the road & a village shop. We can accept up to 2 x dogs, an additional fee of £30.00 per dog is payable. The space Perfect for walkers, cyclists, country lovers and families in a lovely village location. Top Shippon can sleep 4-6 guests and offers the following home comforts: - 2 super king double bedrooms which can be made up as twins if requested. The master bedroom has a good-sized en suite shower room and there is a modern family bathroom with a bath with shower over. - In the sitting room, the sofa can be converted into a double sofa bed for sleeping up to two additional guests (if requested at the time of booking and an ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF £100 will apply). - Spacious farmhouse-style kitchen which is fully equipped with everything you need to cook to your heart's content. The dining room is light, bright and airy with seating for up to six guests. - Two steps down from the dining area is a lovely living room with a roaring log burner and lots of plush seating, the perfect place to relax, watch TV or read a good book. - Step outside the back door for countryside views. The patio area has a picnic table and BBQ facilities, available for use from 01st April through to 31st October, (please supply your own charcoal and lighting equipment). Beyond is a lawned garden that can be enjoyed (currently not enclosed, so may not be suitable for wayward pets or children!) - And! beyond the garden is a small field which provides private parking for 2/3 cars. Guest access Guests have access to the whole property and private off-street parking for 2/3 cars. Great Longstone is a lovely rural village with a great sense of community and is a very friendly and welcoming place to stay. Just a short walk from Top Shippon is 3 heart-warming country pubs The Crispin, The White Lion and a little further, in Little Longstone The Pack Horse, which has recently been voted by TripAdvisor as one of the top 10 cosiest pubs in the UK. You will also find ‘Sally B’s’, the tiny village store which is brimming with essentials and local produce. A couple of steps away on the opposite side of the lane, you can buy fresh milk and eggs from Church Lane Farm - open 24 hours with an honesty box! Top Shippon makes a great base for visiting the most amazing of Peak District treats for you to enjoy - the ancient market town of Bakewell, Chatsworth House (10 minutes drive), Haddon Hall (10 minutes drive), historic spa town of Buxton (15 minutes drive) to name just a few. Other things to note If you wish to use the sofa bed to accommodate 6 guests there is an ADDITIONAL CHARGE of £100 and must be requested at the time of booking. No fireworks or Chinese lanterns due to nearby livestock Please note that we are dog friendly at this property however there are livestock in the surrounding fields, so dogs must be kept under control at all times. For your information, a maximum of two dogs are allowed on site if pre-arranged - you will be expected to keep them out of the bedrooms and off the soft furnishings. We do charge £30 per dog for the duration of your stay. Please see our dog policy for further details. Noise Policy - due to the quiet village location, late-night noise must be confined to inside the building by 10 pm. Neighbours are in close proximity so it is not suitable for rowdy groups due to the residential area. Wifi – we provide free wifi however as the Peak District is in a beautiful rural location sometimes there can be intermittent wifi signal that is beyond our control, we also hope you appreciate that we cannot guarantee wifi if there are technical issues out of our control. Please let us know how you would like your beds made up. Some beds can be arranged as twins (details in the listing description) but only if requested at least 7 days in advance. If we do not receive any bedroom requests all beds will automatically be set up as doubles where applicable. Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with late requests, especially upon check-in. If the booking is made within a 7 day period of your arrival date, all beds will automatically be set up as doubles. Please bring your own cot bed linen as this is not provided
