There is a spacious bedroom overlooking the idyllic mill pit and a living room with passage to the small but well equipped kitchen (incl. Dishwasher). Here you can let your eyes wander over wide meadows and streams, while in the kitchen you can nibble and sizzle. Around the farmhouse and on the meadows, sunny and shady places can be used for your own breakfast, coffee, and vespers. And here's a bit of history: the Hockenmühle was a border point of the Rhaunen high court for many centuries. Already in 1461, a cross between the mill and the Roman road, today's Ausonius hiking trail, is mentioned as a border mark. Later, a gray wock in the meadow at the Hockenmühle served that purpose. In 1764, Johann Nikolaus Trarbach was first mentioned by name as a miller on the Hockenmühle. Until 1950, grain was ground and delivered to the Mosel with the water power power from Gustav Lorenz to the Mosel with the water power. With the Lorenz family, the long time of the mill business ended. In 1995, Amja and Klaus Erfurt acquired the property and restored the buildings.
