The 4 star holiday house 'Antonia' is not far from the Werra Cycle Path. Well-signposted bike paths invite you to take a bike tour. The cherry hiking trail tells everything about the cherry. Festivals in Witzenhausen: Kesper fair and old town festival always on the 2nd July weekend of the year or Thanksgiving and local festival on the penultimate weekend in August. The cherry and university town of Witzenhausen is charmingly embedded in the romantic Werra valley and is the center of one of the largest and oldest cherry growing regions in Germany. The attractive old town with its valuable half-timbered buildings testifies to medieval culture and architecture. In Witzenhausen it was possible to preserve the old and open up to the new.
