Wrenwood Cottage - quiet, riverside retreat

Wrenwood is a beautifully presented, riverside cottage in the quaint historic town of Clare. At over 250 years old and recently renovated, it is the perfect place for a relaxing break. Situated along a quiet footpath, next to the River Stour and a few minutes' walk from the High Street, it is conveniently placed to explore the delights of the Suffolk and Essex countryside. With its inglenook fireplaces, exposed beams and cosy rooms, it exudes country charm. The space Our pretty country retreat with its riverside location offers unique period features, along with modern comforts. It is ideal for a romantic getaway or family break. We have a good size main bedroom with a king size bed and plenty of storage space, a cosy double room and a single room. The garden is on two levels, with plenty of seating areas to take advantage of the beautiful setting. The location, next to the river and country park attracts plenty of birdlife. Wrenwood is an old cottage. It’s a little quirky, with low ceilings, wonky floors and walls. But it is a precious place, which we ask you to treat with gentleness. Other things to note Please note, the stairs are quite steep and narrow. The ceilings upstairs are quite low. Especially in the bathroom.
