Beautiful country house in the south of Crete. A newly built stone house with an open plan living room, a spacious kitchen/dining place, a second bedroom, a bathroom with shower and a private fenced garden. The house is perfect for all seasons as it has both central heating and fireplace for the winter time but also a beautiful outdoor space for the warmer months. The space The living room is organized around the fire place with a 3-seater sofa, armchairs and a coffee table. In the back of the spacious living room, the bedroom area is organized at a slightly higher level with a queen bed. The kitchen/dining area is bright, spacious and fully equipped to accommodate meals for families and friends. The kitchen equipment includes: sink, fridge, oven, hobs, washing machine, kitchen utensils, coffee machine. Dish cloths and tea towels are provided. Filter and Turkish/Greek coffee, tea, milk, sugar, virgin olive oil and washing up liquid are provided on arrival. Both the kitchen and the living room have direct access to the garden through separate doors. The second bedroom contains a bunk bed and it is ideal for children or young adults. The bathroom has a shower with a flexible shower head. The house has a fantastic private garden, fully fenced, a great area for the kids to play safely or simply for adults to enjoy their meals and drinks in the warm and sunny weather of Crete, under the clear blue sky. The house has mobile WiFi internet access. There is ample and free parking space a few meters from the house. The location: the house is located in a small village in the south of Heraklion. The village has local pharmacy, super markets, cash point, store with local cretan products. It is 50 Km (50 min) from Heraklion and the closest airport, and 19 Km (25min) from the closest sea (Keratokampos-Kastri) one of the most beautiful and clean sandy beaches of the south Crete. There is access to Primary health care practice (NHS) in 15 Km (15 min) to either Arkalohori or Viannos. Arkalohori and Viannos have also bank branches, big supermarkets, local stores and plenty of places to eat and drink. Within 30 min to 1hour you can enjoy the stunning beauty of some of the Cretan beaches (Kastri, Tsoutsouros, Mirtos, Tertsa, Ierapetra). The location is also ideal for exploring the Lasithi Plateau and its surrounding traditional villages, where you can enjoy amazing Cretan cuisine with local products. It is also a good option to use this secluded, peaceful place to stay while you can drive and explore the rest of southern and eastern Crete on daily trips.
