Please note, smoking and illegal drugs are not permitted in the house or on the property. No off-road vehicles or ATVs allowed on the property, including the private driveway. This is a friendly, quiet place where everyone on the road is considered a neighbor. Because there are children and many animals (horses, cattle, pigs, chickens, dogs, cats and the hillside flock of wild turkeys) living on our road, we all appreciate you driving slowly when coming and going. In the summertime, there are many hiking trails and mountains to climb, outstanding fishing in the nearby stocked Black River, lakes to explore and biking trails/routes to ride. 20 minutes to Okemo Mtn, 40 minutes to Killington/Pico, 15 minutes to backcountry skiing at Mt Ascutney, 15 minutes to Ludlow and Springfield, 30 minutes to charming villages of Chester and Woodstock. 20 minutes to GMHA in S Woodstock. An easy 40 minute drive to Dartmouth College and Hanover. In the winter, snow removal is provided. Winter tires and experience driving in the snow are recommended. Mud season isn't kind to cars with low ground clearance. 4 wheel drive isn't necessary in the summer. Please do not bring any pets to visit.
