Let our beautiful and kitsch-filled mountain lodge be your home away from home in the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina! High on top of Round Hill in Bryson City, our house is a perfectly situated jumping off point for all the activities the nearby mountains offer and is a peaceful getaway for those looking to relax with gorgeous mountain views. The space I built this house on the very tip top of our family land as my dream home, and now I love sharing it with travelers from far and wide! You know you're in the right place when you're accelerating through the gated entrance and straight up our steep mountain driveway. Don't stall, though, it's worth the gas to see the views at the top! Climb the stairs and enter through the side door, just like family. Come into the open, cathedral-ceilinged great room with kitchen and living area facing a wall of windows and French doors to be able to take in the Smokies wherever you are in the house. The kitchen is stocked with essentials for cooking and cleaning up, including a few starter coffee pods, so no need to worry if you forgot something at the grocery store. If you're not into cooking, you're only a 15-20 minute drive into Bryson City, where there's a great selection of restaurants, an award-winning brewery, and fast food, if you just need some french fries. Nearby are all the activities you can imagine! Hike the Appalachian Trail, take a boat and go fishing at Fontana Lake & Dam, tube on Deep Creek, ride the Great Smoky Railroad, hike through Nantahala Forest, and test your kayaking and whitewater rafting skills on Nantahala River. We're just a short drive from other amazing experiences such as Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Cherokee Indian Reservation, Harrah's Casino, Asheville, Knoxville, Lake Santeetlah, Gatlinburg, Dollywood, Joyce Kilmer Virgin Forest, Blue Ridge Parkway, and more. And if you're not the adventuring type, spend your days sitting on the covered, wrap around porch with mountain views, soaking in the hot tub, or making s'mores in the fire pit. Regardless of your preference, there's something for everyone to enjoy at Round Hill Lodge! Children and pets are welcome, and I am always just a text or call away to answer any questions. Guest access One room is locked for family storage but does not represent the room count above. The garage is for storage and is not accessible to guests. Other things to note Bryson City has a hospital with a terrific EMT staff, if you ever need it. The driveway is very steep, but passable by all vehicles. There are steps to get into the house, and all but one bedroom are on the second floor. The dining room table seats 8 normally and up to 12 with the leaves. We have a charcoal and a gas grill.
