Casa Mapache is on the best road in La Veleta - near the beach and in a safe and established area. Walking distance to the best restaurants in town and one of the only Airbnbs with over 150 5* reviews. A spacious and stylish one bed apartment in a secure complex that boasts huge pool, two outdoor areas and private plunge pool. The space Casa Mapache is a rare gem in Tulum as we are lucky to have been built just before the Tulum mega boom which means we are literally in the very best location with no construction around us! Very rare for Tulum. We are on a quiet, well lit and safe paved street (not like many of the new places that are deep in the jungle). The apartment has a full kitchen, smart TV, big bathroom, two private outdoor areas AND private plunge pool. There is also a great little onsite bar/restaurant. I do believe there are no other apartments in Tulum with this unique set up that don't have less than 50 or so units now - we are NOT one of those. We are one of only seven. The other units are also taken by people who live in Tulum - so it's chill and relaxing. As I said, we are lucky and a rare gem. The complex is like a little oasis - please read our reviews. We are a London couple who have lived in Tulum for six years. We like to think we have an eye for design - every inch of Casa Mapache has been carefully curated incorporating local materials and artisan furniture of the highest standard. It really is special to us. The entrance to the secure complex is literally 10 seconds from Calle 7 where you'll find everything you might need and more. Tons of great bars and restaurants. Yet the complex feels a million miles away from any hustle and bustle. Ideal for those who want the full Tulum experience but also enjoy luxury and appreciate design, the apartment is complete with: - Two private outdoor areas both with seating (we love the front patio and the super comfy designer daybed but the private plunge pool is the best!) - Outdoor PRIVATE plunge pool with both hot and cold water and jacuzzi jets - Huge shared pool with sun-loungers - Unique concrete kitchen, featuring six person dining table - Modern appliances including flatscreen smart TV (Netflix) FAST WiFi (we have had many remote workers), coffee maker etc. - Locally-made terracotta tableware - Huge king-size bed - Powerful hot shower in spacious concrete bathroom *Please read our reviews to give you more of a sense of the standard of hosting we aim to meet.* The sun rises directly over the gardens that are teeming with parrots and other tropical birds. With its huge day bed, the front-facing patio is the perfect environment to enjoy the sunshine whilst sipping on your coffee after a morning swim in the inviting pool just a few steps away. (We must note, the palms have grown so this looks even nicer and very private - we have been so fully booked we haven't had chance to get new photography!) The large bedroom features a king size handmade wooden bed complete with quality linens. What makes the apartment truly unique is your second outdoor space: slide your bedroom doors open to reveal a tranquil and truly private jungle oasis complete with hot tub/plunge pool. Enjoy a glass of wine or cold beer after a busy day of exploring with only the stars and the moon as onlookers. (no one can see you at all - heaven!) Guest access The entire apartment is yours exclusively for the duration of the stay, and you have full access to the pool and common areas. The lights in the bedroom are touch sensitive - you turn them on by slightly tapping the glass light. Please be gentle! The bedding and linens are light colored and under no circumstance do we accept stained bedding and towels from make-up, suntan oil etc. There is private off street parking exclusively for guests. There is onsite Spa and cafe.* We are on a well lit paved street. We also offer longterm stays. During high season, we will consider one night stays on a case-by-case basis. Please message us if you wish to stay for one night only between December and February. The apartment is for two people only. June to November is rainy / hurricane season.
