Traditional Finnish Summer Cottage

Summer cottage by a lake. Sauna is heated with wood, the firewood is free of charge. Inside the cottage there's a fireplace, a dining table, a kitchenette with basic tableware, a large comfy sofa and a bed for two. A muurikka grill and a rowing boat are also in your use. Distances by car: Laitila - 22 min Mynämäki - 25 min Uusikaupunki - 30 min Rauma - 45 min Turku - 45 min, 55 km Helsinki - 2 h 20 min, 220 km The space There’s a coffee machine, a single hob (sähköliesitaso), a microwave and a fridge-freezer in the cottage. Some are located in the changing room and some inside the cabin. They all work with electricity. There are power outlets (pistorasia) throghout the cottage as well as in the terrace. A muurikka grill is at the terrace as well as seats and a table. You can either go to the water from the beach or the dock. There’s an outdoor toilet. No running water, you can get water to wash up in the sauna from the lake. The drinking water you have to bring yourself. Bring your own bed linen and towels or book them before your arrival for an extra fee. Let me know if you need them when you make a reservation. The cottage can fit multiple people, there is a bed for two + mattresses. So if you are more than 4, you’re also possibly welcome. Please note that the final part of the road (approx. 50 meters) leading up to the cottage might be challenging for cars that are low. You can leave your car to the start of the road if it looks too challenging. During the summer there are some events such as auctions, flea markets and other gatherings at Laitila, Uusikaupunki and Rauma. Feel free to ask us if you want to know if there's something going on during your stay! Flexible check-in/check-out times are possible (if there are no preceding or subsequent bookings). This place is run by me, my mother and my aunts, so someone/some of us will be with you in the check-in and check-out if necessary and also available during your stay.
