You will be staying in my home. You will be more comfortable if you spend time reading EVERYTHING about the Safari Guest Room online and in the white notebook (when you arrive) titled "Welcome to the Safari Guest Room". I have spent many hours compiling this information so that your expectations and consideration of the house rules make us both comfortable. For example, I don't have a hair dryer in the bathroom like they do at the hotel. Unlike the hotel, I * do * need you to be extra careful and clean - like you would at a good friend's house. Unlike the hotel reproductions and industrial strength - my furniture is fragile and some pieces are family heirlooms with great sentimental value - please handle with care. Use a coaster, the real wood can be ruined by a damp glass, can, or bottle. Your cooperation improves the experience for the next guest - just as the previous guests have helped make your experience pleasant. I will do everything I can to make you feel comfortable and welcome. I am available to offer local information and suggestions. Once I helped a guest who's car would not start; I have picked up and taken guests to and from the airport and train station. I can't do everything for every guest - but, if there is a snag or problem - I'm glad to help. My home is located in Glen Burnie between Linthicum and Ferndale. BWI airport is (3.2 miles) within five minutes drive. My home is along the Light Rail close to the Ferndale stop - (1.0 mile) a 15 minute walk. Downtown Baltimore Harborplace (8.6 miles), Ravens Stadium, and Orioles Camden Yard is accessible via 20 minute Light Rail ride. By car Baltimore is only 15 minutes. The Amtrak BWI station (3.3 miles) is five minutes away. Washington, DC is (34 miles) about 40 minutes away by car. Giant Food grocery store, McDonald's, KFC, Wendy's, and Rita's are 1.9 miles CVS Pharmacy and Food Lion is 1.7 miles Willy's Family Restaurant is 1.3 miles Outback Steakhouse is 3.9 miles Maryland's most famous Crab Cake Platter - rated #1 by The Washington Post - is at G&M Resturant 2.6 miles - only 7 minutes away. Check-out the info online. Plenty of restaurants deliver to our location. The Safari Guest Room is on the upper level of my home. Two flights of steps up. If you have trouble climbing stairs - please do not stay in the Safari Guest Room. You will have exclusive use of the Safari Guest Room. Prior to joining AirBnB my family hosted many guests from around the world. My home is a Cape Cod situated on almost an acre in a quiet mature neighborhood. The Safari Guest Room is pet free - no pets are allowed, sorry. My yard is well kept and I feed a variety of songbirds. Private Parking area is off of the street. Clean Towels, Washcloths, Hand Towels, Sheets, Pillow Cases, Blankets are provided. The Safari Guest Room features: Carpeted floor Wireless internet Shared Bathroom (on rare occasions others might share this bathroom) Shared Kitchen Shared Living Room with cable TV Check-In time is between 5 PM - 8 PM - I have some flexibility. Guests have private use of the Safari Guest Room.
