From the "auction house", adjacent to the Beemster World Heritage Site, and the Mijzen nature reserve, you can enjoy beautiful walks and cycling. Or find peace on the water with our canoes, recommended! Our atmospheric cottage is located in the back of the garden, and is built from the old building materials from the old auction of Avenhorn. Conveniently located 10-40 km from: Hoorn-Enkhuizen-Medemblik, Edam-Volendam-Marken. But certainly also Alkmaar, the Zaanse schans, Amsterdam and not to forget, the coast of Noord Holland. The space Our 'auction' cottage is suitable for one to two people, and furnished with authentic details, and a nod to 'the old masters'. Especially in autumn/winter, our cottage with (nostalgic) wood-burning stoves (inside & outside) and a good book is a lovely place to unwind. There are 3 terraces (with plenty of privacy), so you can still enjoy yourself (in the sun :) after a day out. The bedroom (queen-size bed 1.60 x 2.00 m) is on the first floor and accessible via a fixed staircase with a handrail. Bathroom with toilet, washbasin and spacious shower with underfloor heating. Towels are provided. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, an oven with a gas stove, a microwave, pots and pans, crockery, etc. Free parking for cars and bicycles and secure bicycle storage (option to charge electric bicycles).
