From the "auction house", adjacent to the Beemster World Heritage Site, and the Mijzen nature reserve, you can enjoy beautiful walks and cycling. Or find peace on the water with our canoes, recommended! Our atmospheric cottage is located in the back of the garden, and is built from the old building materials from the old auction of Avenhorn. Conveniently located 10-40 km from: Hoorn-Enkhuizen-Medemblik, Edam-Volendam-Marken. But certainly also Alkmaar, the Zaanse schans, Amsterdam and not to forget, the coast of Noord Holland. The space Our "auction" cottage is suitable for one to two people, and decorated with authentic details, and a touch of "the old masters". Especially in the fall/winter, our cottage with a (nostalgic) wood-fired stove (both inside and outside) and a good book is a nice place to take a break. There are 3 terraces (with plenty of privacy), so after a day out you can still enjoy the evening (in the sun). The bedroom (with a double box spring 1.60x2.00cm) is on the 1st floor and accessible by fixed stairs with handrail. Bathroom with toilet, sink and spacious shower with underfloor heating, towels are provided. Kitchen is complete with refrigerator, oven with gas stove, microwave, pans, dishes, etc. Free parking of car and bicycle, and safe bicycle shed (with possibility to charge electric bikes).
