High-spec detached eco annexe in rural setting

Newt Barn is situated in a large wildlife garden, with a meadow, bees & chickens. A quiet & pretty village 8 miles from Newmarket & 16 miles from Cambridge. Perfect for visitors to enjoy beautiful scenery and the calm and quiet of a remote rural setting. Sleeping up to 4 adults in spacious comfort in 2 beds, with a luxurious bathroom, garden views, fully fitted kitchen, high spec fixtures & comfortable lounge area. However, we do not accept infants or children. The space Newt Barn is a detached annexe with its own entrance off our large, private drive. The main house is 10 metres away, sharing the three-quarters of an acre garden space. Powered by solar energy and Tesla batteries, we've designed the property to a very high standard for comfort & space. There is a very generously-sized bathroom with large shower and separate bath, a double bedroom and a queen-sized sofa bed, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, oven/microwave, dishwasher & boiling water tap. There is parking for up to two guest cars and an electric car charging point. We have air conditioning and heating powered by air-source heat pump, fibre broadband to the house and a smart tv. Also available is access to a dry and secure lock-up for bicycle storage, a utility room and laundry rack. The desk space for using a laptop is a large sit/stand desk with monitor, so feel free to bring IT kit and cables if you'd like to use the space to work in. Our ethos is that nature is welcome here as we develop our wildflower meadow, organic wildlife pond and outdoor space. We are lucky to have a fantastic range of wild birds, dragonflies and butterflies visit the garden so nature watching is easy; but we can recommend some local nature reserves worth a visit as well. The back of the barn opens up with a bi-fold door to your own patio with firepit/BBQ and great views. We are situated just 1 mile from the Garden Barn wedding venue (and we can act as your taxi for events there if you would like, and we are around), as well as many popular places to visit in Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. Newmarket and Haverhill are the closest towns for shopping/amenities and Ely and Bury St Edmunds are lovely places to visit as alternatives to Cambridge. Note : There are no shops in the village. Guest access You will have full, private access to the barn and patio/lawned space. The main garden and meadow is available to wander around and nature watch. Other things to note We don't accept children or infants for bookings. There is no shop or pub that can be reached without a car or bike (4 miles away). We have an electric car charging point that you can use during your stay; just let us know that you would like to use it and we'll explain how it works.
