Private Room Close to Downtown Hickory and Lake!

Room in adorable home only 2 miles from downtown and 1 mile from Lake Hickory. Situated in the historic district, this space is perfect to experience this quaint town or surrounding areas in the Foothills of North Carolina. The room is spacious, with a queen bed and private bathroom. Use of common areas, including kitchen and laundry room are welcomed. Feel free to enjoy the fire pit in the back yard, read a book on the front porch swing, or ride one of our bicycles around town. The space Our home is clean and comfortable with thoughtful furnishings both in the common spaces and the private room. Your room has a lock on the bedroom door for your privacy and plenty of space. The bed is wonderfully comfortable, with a Nectar queen size memory foam mattress. You have your own TV that has Netflix, Prime, and Disney+ (We do not have cable). Wi-fi is available and will be happy to provide you the information upon arrival. Please feel free to use the kitchen and laundry room as needed; we only ask that you clean up behind yourself! We also have a lovely front porch swing and spacious back deck with comfortable outdoor seating, both perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee each morning or reading a good book. Our firepit is also available for our guests to use, as well as a fine assortment of outdoor and indoor games to occupy your time with us. We also have plenty of private, off-street parking for our guests. During your stay We love getting to know our guests, however, are also understanding of guests desiring limited interaction and privacy. Also, this is a room within a single-family home with two children (ages 11 and 9) present half of each week. While we are very thoughtful to afford as much quiet and privacy as possible when we have guests, we do live in this home. If you are looking for a place that provides absolute quiet, we may not be the place for you! We do travel a lot for pleasure and work, so it is also possible that you may have the home to yourself. Otherwise, when we are home, feel free to interact with us as much or as little as you like. I revel in the opportunities to share a cup of coffee in the morning or enjoy a glass of good wine at night with my guests!
