Our home offers the perfect place for the luxury lake experience. You will enjoy pristine woods and a huge gentle sloping lawn. You will feel like you have your own private park. Bring your boat and tie up to the dock without worry of wakes. Enjoy the spectacular view of the lake with mountains in the distance! There is high speed Xfinity cable internet and TV in the home but relax and unplug and enjoy the outdoor activities available for the entire family. On the main level, the living room and dining room have french doors that open to a generous size screen porch with plenty of seating for everyone to allow for the best views of the lake. A gas grill is located off the screened porch for those evening meals. The renovated kitchen is fully equipped with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, plenty of storage, many extras allow for easy conversation while cooking and preparing meals. Dining table expands to seat 8 people for family dinners. Living room has large flatscreen tv with Roku for Netflix and streaming. There is nice comfortable furniture to relax on while hanging out by the fireplace. We do have a DVD movie library available for guests. The large master bedroom on the main level has a king size bed and a large flatscreen Roku tv. The second main level bedroom has a queen bedroom with plenty of room to stretch out. Portable crib and high chair for children is stored in this room. Full bathroom on main level with shower/tub. Laundry is located in closet. The lower level has a 3rd bedroom and rec room with Roku tv and outdoor patio area with cushy patio furniture as well as a smoker grill. The lower-level bedroom has 2 twins over twin bunk beds plus a roll-a-away bed and a neat area to play. Plus, a light-up Roku TV and Wii. Bins of toys and games to keep kids entertained on those rainy days! The rec-room is set up for hanging out, popping popcorn in the popcorn machine, watching movies while playing a game of pool, or trying your hand at shuffleboard. There are also board games, chess, checkers, cribbage, cards, poker, etc. Also, for your enjoyment, karaoke machine, a large movie screen and projector for inside/outdoor use.There is a full bath off the rec room. The boat dock is nothing short of amazing - a sun deck for suntanning, table for picnic or dinner by the water or just hanging out during the day. The long cove view from the dock boasts peaceful and relaxing views of the mountains - a must see. This is a low boat traffic area so it's great for swimming, paddle board, paddleboat, kayak and just floating. If hanging out on the dock is more your style, you are in luck because there is plenty of room there too, both in full sun and shade. You have full access to the boat house that has plenty of towable, life jackets and ropes for your boats. The boat dock is equipped with electricity, lights, cleats to tie off your boat for overnight or all week. It's Knott Too Shabby for making memories of your next family vacation. WHAT TO BRING: Sheets, pillowcases, towels, wash and dish cloths, toilet paper, paper towels, kitchen cleansers, dishwasher tabs, garbage bags, paper products, etc. If you prefer to pack light, linens are available for rental through Virginia Linen Service. Getting Around - there is no public transportation. There are a few bicycles at the house for you to use at your own risk. The Neighborhood - W1 Smith Mountain Lake is a beautiful man-made lake that covers three counties and has over 500 miles of shoreline. It is a great place to boat, fish, and swim. There is also plenty of sightseeing and activities to do on the water and at Bridgewater’s marina at West Lake Village. Want the best ice cream around? Homestead Creamery is only 20 minutes away! If you're up for a some city night life, downtown Roanoke is just 30 minutes away. Lynchburg, 45 minutes. Festivals are often happening in downtown Roanoke or at Smith Mountain Lake.
