Welcome to Old Vintertun Farmstead — a charming 100-year-old timbered farmhouse near Trolltunga, Buerbreen Glacier, and Hardangerfjord. Perfect for families and groups, it sleeps 9 with 4 bedrooms, a wood-burning stove, southwest terrace, and mountain / valley views. Just a short drive from Odda, with hiking trails, Folgefonna glacier, and shops nearby, it’s your peaceful base for adventure and relaxation in the heart of Ullensvang. The space We are a family of five based in Stavanger and enjoy spending time at the cabin throughout the year, whether hiking in summer or skiing in winter. As we can’t be there all the time, we’re delighted to share the charm of Vintertun—its peaceful atmosphere, mountain trails, and nearby fjord—with others. This cabin is our cherished retreat, and we warmly welcome guests to feel at home and create their own lasting memories here. Guest access The whole property is available for guests to use, except locked rooms in the attic and basement. Several wardrobes and cupboards will also be locked that contain our personal belongings. Please respect this privacy. Other things to note The cabin is our home away from home, and we warmly welcome guests to enjoy it as we do. As such, we leave some of our personal belongings in the house, and we kindly ask that guests treat the space and its contents with care and respect. The house is fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. All beds are fitted with mattress protectors, duvets, and pillows. Guests are kindly asked to bring their own bed linens (sheets, duvet and pillow covers) and towels. In keeping with Norwegian tradition for rural cabins, we ask that guests leave the property clean and tidy— just as they found it. The property is supplied with water from a private well, which is common in these remote areas. The water is safe to drink and treated through a filtration system including UV purification. However, guests who prefer may wish to bring bottled water for drinking.
