The Painters' Cottage in the Jardin des Passerelles
The Painters' Cottage in the Jardin des Passerelles
Description
In the heart of the Eure Valley, 10 minutes from Pacy-sur-Eure and about twenty minutes from Giverny, come and prepare your visit to Monet's house or rest in our beautiful farmhouse, a traditional Norman half-timbered house with all modern comforts. On one level, it offers wonderful calm with its three "painters' rooms" — the Monet room, the Van Gogh room and the Bonnard room — and its large garden with furniture, barbecue, ping-pong and trampoline. The space Entire longère, with two independent entrances, a kitchen-living room overlooking the garden, three bedrooms, a shower room and a bathroom. This house is suitable for people who want calm in a large and beautiful garden as well as for families with grandchildren, because it offers complete safety by being on one level, with its enclosed garden. For babies: high chair and folding crib. Note: the chickens, the rooster and our two sheep Zut and Flûte, delight the children! For adults: outdoor furniture, barbecue, ping pong table and Icelandic bowling (molki) are available. Guest access At the entrance of the estate, immediately on the left, you will find a private parking lot. The garden, very large, is divided into several spaces, one of which, spacious and furnished with table, outdoor chairs, deckchairs and parasol, is reserved for tenants. You will have a view of our sheep and our small vegetable garden, which proudly prepares its few vegetables for you! Other things to note Small and large activities: - VERY CLOSE: If you want to stroll without getting tired, and while entertaining the children, let us know! You will see a carriage arrive, just in front of the house, ready to take you for a pleasant little ride in the fields and surrounding villages! You can also - ride a horse, or hoist your little ones on the ponies of one of the nearby stud farms - go canoeing - fish in one of the nearby ponds - walk in the forest - or just... dream in a lounger! IN THE REGION you can visit: - The house and garden of the painter Claude Monet - The Museum of Impressionism - The Château de Bizy - The old Norman town of Vernon - Château d'Anet - The Cathedral of Evreux. And, if you stay a few days, why not: - A day in Rouen? - An excursion to Verneuil d'Avre and Iton, labeled Small Cities of Character - A visit to the Domaine du Champ de Bataille - or even a getaway at sea? We are an hour from Deauville or Honfleur... to name a few! In short, there is enough to do and, frankly, enough not to do, by stopping our contemporary lives, often too crazy, for a few hours...
