A peaceful rural retreat for couples, with walks from the door and being only a short drive away from the stunning Northumberland National Park and Heritage Coastline AONB. Dene Cottage is in Callaly, a quiet hamlet in the beautiful Northumberland countryside, 2 miles from the picturesque village of Whittingham and conveniently located between the towns of Alnwick and Rothbury (each 15 mins drive away). Nearest pub 5 miles, restaurant 5 miles, shop 5 miles. Public transport (bus) 2 miles away. The space Enjoy our fully self-contained, cosy annexe with private entrance porch, kitchen, spacious living room with dining table, bedroom with king size bed, bathroom. Fully refurbished in 2018 and very well-equipped to a high standard. Sleeps 2. Features: dishwasher, fridge-freezer, washer/dryer, microwave, oven/hob, WiFi, Sky TV, Netflix, DVD, central heating, double glazing, wood burning stove, linen and towels, hairdryer, fitted bathroom with shower over bath, outside seating/BBQ, ample on-site parking, electric vehicle charge point, storage for bicycles. Self check-in from 4pm and departure by 10am. Earlier check-in possible by prior arrangement. * We commit to follow Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocol (introduced July 2020): We sanitise high-touch surfaces, down to the doorknob; We use cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies, and wear protective gear to help prevent cross-contamination; We clean each room using extensive cleaning checklists; We provide extra cleaning supplies, so you can clean as you stay; We comply with local laws, including any additional safety or cleaning guidelines. Guest access The cottage is fully self-contained with its own entrance, and has a private outdoor seating area overlooking the garden and wooded area. Other things to note Oil heating, electricity, linen, towels and initial fuel for log burner included. Mobile phone signals can be limited but Wi-Fi is good. No Smoking. Sorry, no pets. Friendly dogs (2) on site. Step-free access.
