Traditional art house

My place is located on the edge of Akoumia, in the south of Rethymno. It is a stone-built semi-detached house with a panoramic view of Kedros, the valley and its villages. The upper and lower spaces communicate with an internal staircase but are also completely autonomous with their own bathroom, kitchen and separate entrance, having access to the garden, the terrace and the parking lot. The space The space is characterized by its traditional architecture, grandmother's objects, grandfather's tools and its artistic aesthetics. It is a few meters from the village square with the centuries-old plane tree, 10-15 km from the most beautiful beaches of South Crete (Triopetra, Ligres, Agios Pavlos), 9 km from Spili, the capital of the municipality and 37 km from Rethymno. A few meters from the entrance of the house begins a path for climb to the top of Mount Asiderotas with an amazing view. The property is harmoniously complemented by two ornamental gardens, the vegetable garden, the wheat field with the old threshing floor and the orchard with the fruit trees!
