LIVE BY THE SUN, LOVE BY THE SEA Nestled in the wilderness of the island within a protected park, PUNTADELLEOCHE is a quintessential "baracca" country house that has been recently renovated, respecting the local style. Located in the north of the island, it is just 300 meters from the seacliff, a 20-minute drive from Carloforte town, and approximately 25 minutes from the stunning beaches. Accessed via a dirt road, this secluded retreat truly feels like "a world away." A car is necessary for reaching this serene escape. The space Nestled in the lower section of the house, the NASSA STUDIO exudes the island's authentic charm. This space is characterized by its stone construction and enriched with wooden textures, offering a unique blend of rustic elegance. A standout feature is the Nassa, an old fishing net, ingeniously repurposed as a chandelier, adding a touch of local heritage to the ambiance. Ideal for those who cherish the sun and sea, this studio provides a serene retreat infused with the island's cultural essence. Guest access Guests can choose any terrace of the house to unwind on sunbeds or deck chairs, relax in the Moroccan lounge of the main porch, explore the garden, and, by request, enjoy their own cooking experience in the barbecue area. During your stay Upon arrival, we will pick you up at the port and, once home, offer you tips on the island's highlights, the best beaches to visit depending on the daily wind, and the finest restaurants to savor Carloforte cuisine. If you enjoy hiking, there is a 5 km circular route of medium difficulty starting right from the house, taking approximately 1.5 hours to complete. Above our house, you can spot the rare Falco della Regina. For nature enthusiasts, we can arrange an unforgettable easy hike with the head of LIPU, an organization dedicated to preserving local biodiversity. This experience will reveal where the Falco della Regina, after migrating from Madagascar, build their nests on the sea cliffs. Additionally, we can guide you to the best routes for walking or biking, where you can observe the majestic flight of the Falco della Regina or witness the unique rituals of pink flamingos inhabiting the salt pans for most of the year. Other things to note The breakfast offered is organic, with gluten-free options available upon request. Guests can enjoy homemade cakes, fresh bread, and local products served under the portico, overlooking the sea, from 8:30 to 10 am. The setting is beautiful and allows guests to relax, surrounded by nature. Internet access is available in the breakfast-lounge area for checking emails, but it is not suitable for streaming or downloading. Vodafone is the sole provider operating in the Puntadelleoche area, while in Carloforte, other providers are functional.
