Our cottage is a place in which we share stories, traditions and customs of the region to offer you an authentic experience. We invite you to escape your daily routine and enjoy in a unique way the impressive attractions of Tortuguero in Costa Rica. An authentically rustic place, far from everything, only one group at a time, with personalized and exclusive attention, with our family. We could also provide you different tours, complete food service and transportation, as an extra charge. The space Our cottage is situated north of Tortuguero Village in a peaceful place far away from everything, and it is easy to reach because we also bring transportation service, from La Pavona or San Francisco. We offer you basic private rooms some with double, or double and single bunk bed, with shared bathrooms, and additionally we can provide mosquito nets and towels. We have direct beach access few steps in front the cottage, for relaxing in the hammocks or turtles night watch (depending on the season). The canals are located right behind the house, where you can go kayaking, fishing or on boat trips to Tortuguero Village and National Park, Cerro Tortuguero and much more, tours that you could enjoy with us with an extra charge, just ask us for those services. We also have a beautiful garden in which we grow local plants like Cassava (Yuca), Guineo and Coconut for your kitchen, also a special hybrid plant Lemon Grass and Juanilama to prepare you a delicious tea! Guest access The cottage has two floors, and most of the time our guests are located upstairs, but you could choose any bedroom you want because we only receive one group at a time. There is a completely equipped kitchen were you could prepare your meals if you bring your food, with fridge, gas stove, wood stove and drinking water. The dinning room has a large wood table over a natural sand floor! The shared bathrooms are outside the cottage. There is also a chill small ranch outside. A large wood table at the beach, where you could eat if you want. We love and have a LOT of hammocks, at the beach few step in front the lodge, upstairs, downstairs, and at the small ranch! The camp fires are completely available at the beach in front the cottage. Other things to note There are not supermarkets or restaurants near the cottage, so come prepared, bring your food to prepare your meals, or ask us for the food service option. We are located in a remote place, so bring anything you need. The turtle night watch depends on the season, and seeing turtles in the correct season depends on the luck and natural factors, of course. Bring sun cream protection and repellent. We provide mosquitoes nets for your bed, but it would be better to for you have protection for outside the cottage, like the beach, canals, or forest, for example. The place is completely natural, there is sand inside the cottage, strong winds sometimes, tropical humid environment, and sometimes it rains a lot.
