How about enjoying the morning coffee on an old stone staircase while overlooking the bay from the farm? Do you want to spend your vacation in an undisturbed peaceful place, enjoying the archipelago life and rural charm? Now included the annex named "The Hobbit House" which have two big single beds, and a bunk bed for a small child. The space The house "Bryggerhuset" (The Cookhouse) and the barrel-shaped annex "Hobbithuset" (The Hobbit House) are located in an old farmyard with a short walk to its own boat mooring, pier and swimming area located in a bay opposite Skolebukta on Håøya. There are fishing opportunities in the area, and you can see bustling wildlife. The farm is pet-friendly, as there are horses, dogs and cats on the farm. Our Shetland pony Trixie Belle tends to be a hit with the little ones :) Renters are welcome to bring their own pets. This is a real summer paradise perfectly located in Telemark, close to the county border with Vestfold. This means it is a short boat ride to Helgeroa and Langesund. Here you can get the island feeling on land, but with all the amenities. There is a road right up to the door, electricity and water, as well as Wi-Fi and 5G coverage. We have a barbecue, so remember to bring charcoal! :) A little about "Bryggerhuset": The building has a high standard, and is tastefully decorated and renovated. This is an old house with lots of charm where the rustic elements and the soul of the house have been retained, while at the same time it has been brought up to today's standard. The exterior is traditional white southern style. "Bryggerhuset" is fully equipped with all amenities, and there is underfloor heating in all rooms. There are 4 sleeping places, with room for 8 people. The building contains the following rooms: Living room with double sofa bed, kitchen, bedroom, hallway and bathroom as well as a loft with four beds. The living area is 74 m2. In addition, there is a large outdoor area with furniture, dining area and barbecue. The annex "Hobbithuset" is, as you can see from the pictures, a free-standing unit with its own decking and two wide beds, as well as a bunk bed for a small child. We rent out 1 boat, 4 single-person kayaks and 3 SUPs (Stand Up Paddleboards) on request. The boat is a Sandstø 14 foot open dinghy with a Tohatsu outboard motor with 9.9 horsepower. There is room for up to 5 people in the boat. Boat is rented for 600 kroner per day. Kayak is rented for 250 kroner per day. SUP is rented for 200 kroner per day. It is a short boat ride from the pier to Helgeroa, Langesund, Stathelle and Brevik. The nearest grocery store is 7 kilometers away in Langangen. On request, we can arrange semi-fast charging of your electric car at the farm, for a fee. We also grow organic vegetables, so just ask us what is in season and for sale when you arrive :) Things to do in the area: Swimming, kayaking (especially nice through Vrangsund and into Mørjefjorden, or to Paradisbukta on Håøya), boating, fishing, great hiking and jogging areas with Håøya Nature Reserve right nearby (with both easy and challenging terrain). On Håøya you will also find the very popular bays among boaters; Paradisbukta and Skolebukta, where you can also take a dip. The guide book Is written in Norwegian so remember to push the link at the top of the guidebook which offer to translate it into your preferred language. We especially recommend exploring the Brunlanes area in Vestfold, but Nedre Telemark also has a lot to offer. Or you can, like many other guests, just relax and enjoy life at Auen :) Please note that the house is not accessible by public transport. A car is required.
