Simply relax and unwind in this tranquil town or for the more energetic there is squash, bowls, swimming, walking, climbing, riding and fishing, with quality craft shops and eating houses within 100 yards and a pub in 50 yards. The Settle-Carlisle railway passes through, with the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales being an easy day trip.
