Situated in the private grounds of Sutton Hall Estate, the cottage is surrounded by parkland, with numerous footpaths for you to explore the countryside and the banks of the River Deben. It is just 4 miles from the historic town of Woodbridge. The cottage is ideal for guests attending weddings at Woodhall Manor as it is just along the drive from the wedding venue. This attractive thatched, south facing, character cottage has just been newly renovated and furnished to a high standard. Amy's Cottage has a country cottage interior with many character features – there's a living room, 2 bedrooms, bathroom with a deep roll top bath, a painted style kitchen, and WiFi broadband access. Outside there is a large enclosed cottage garden, with parking for 3 cars and or horsebox. There is also an adjoining paddock for guests to bring their horses or exercise their dogs off the lead. The arched front door leads into the living room with neutral sisal floor covering. There's a two seater sofa, 2 arm chairs, side table, a smart flat screen TV. The large airy kitchen is well equipped with a freestanding oven and hob, integrated washer/dryer, and full size dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine and Smeg Fridge with small freezer box. The winding and steep stairs lead to the first bedroom which has a king sized bed with a Vispring pocket sprung mattress, bedside tables and a cupboard wardrobe. High quality crisp white egyptian cotton bed linen is provided. The attractive bathroom with semi-vaulted ceiling and free standing deep roll top bath with a hand-held shower attachment a traditional style w.c. and a hand basin. Fluffy white Christy towels and dressing gowns are provided together with Moulton Brown toiletries. The 2nd bedroom leads off the first bedroom, and has twin single beds with Sophie Allport coastal birds linen. The mattresses are high quality pocket sprung. There is a small wardrobe with 2 drawers and bedside tables. Services Mains water and electricity with oil fired heating system. Other things to note FIREPLACE Although there is a fireplace, this has been blocked off and unable to be used due to the property being thatched. There is however an electric Everhot Stove. STAIRS The stairs leading to the first floor are quite steep and winding, and may not suit anyone with mobility issues. COVID In the event of being required to close due to COVID, we are happy for you to either move your dates or give a full refund for the days affected. MID WEEK BREAKS If you are able to stay during Midweek prices offer great value. SECURITY/DAMAGE DEPOSIT A Security/Damage deposit of £100 is payable immediately after booking confirmation. A request will be sent for payment. This will be refunded once the cottage had been checked after departure.
