The space Kiaat, Marula, and Matumi Cottages are modern, two-bedroom luxury cottages, fully equipped for self-catering with everything you need (including an air fryer), for a relaxing stay. Each cottage has a private entrance, a spacious stoep with a braai area, and stylish open-plan living areas with DSTV, Wi-Fi, and newly fitted kitchens featuring modern appliances. Each of the two en-suite bedrooms boasts a king-size bed with luxurious linen, storage, and a full-length mirror. The bathrooms include large walk-in showers, and for year-round comfort, the bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning / heater, and ceiling fans. Set on our peaceful farm, the cottages offer a unique country experience. Expect the gentle sounds of weekday farm life, our friendly horses (who love carrots), chickens, Nyala, Impala, and Blessbok. Fresh Farm eggs are available for purchase at reception with available. These cottages are ideal for families or two couples. Upon request, we can add one extra bed per bedroom for children (please let us know at the time of booking; a small fee of R150 per extra child / night will apply). You’re welcome to join in with daily farm activities like feeding the chickens and horses, or simply enjoy the tranquility of the farm. We also offer two luxurious one-bedroom cottages—Mango Cottage and Ash Cottage—perfect for couples or solo travelers. And a deluxe two bedroom cottage with a private plunge pool. Bergdale Cottages is perfectly located just 8km from Phabeni Gate (Kruger National Park), 25km from Graskop and the Panorama Route, and 2km from shops, pharmacies, and restaurants. Guest access Our two-bedroom cottages are completely self-contained with their own private, fenced, and gated access. Guests are welcome to explore the entire farm, where friendly horses and chickens roam freely. Whether you prefer privacy or want to experience a touch of farm life, the choice is yours. On arrival, you’ll receive your own keys and remote for full, flexible access to both the main gate and your cottage at any time. Other things to note We offer convenient, optional breakfast or dinner baskets (at an additional cost), which can be placed in your cottage before arrival—ideal for late check-ins or guests who prefer a relaxed evening in without heading to the shops or restaurants. Housekeeping services are available at R250/day, and laundry at R200/load—simply let us know if you'd like to arrange either during your stay. Please note: Smoking is not permitted inside the cottages, but you’re welcome to smoke outside. Ashtrays are provided in your private outdoor space. For your peace of mind, all cottages are secured with electric fencing and gated access, and the main entrance to the farm is also controlled by an electric gate.
