Fantastic large house with beautiful roof terraces

The house is located in an ancient village at the foot of the Montiferru mountains. The sea is 12 km away. The geographical location is perfect for excursions along the island. Rocky bays and kilometers-long beaches stretch along. The house has two roof terraces with breathtaking views. The house is well-equipped and clean. Linens and WiFi are included. There are three kitchens, three bedrooms, three bathrooms (one in every floor), two small laundry rooms with two washing machines. The house is suitable for 8 people but even 2 people can feel confortable. Along the facade of the house runs a majestic jasmine plant whose flowers emanate scent all around. The house was built in 1800. For generations it has been inhabited by shepherds. Recently the house has been renovated with great care with respect for its origins. There are mosquito nets in all windows. In summer, the indoors are cool and pleasant. From the third floor you can comfortably go to the first terrace and from that terrace you go up to the solarium with a stunning 360-degree view. The terraces are bathed in sunlight. You will see the sun soaking into the sea. Sunsets are breathtaking. Both terraces dominate the other houses in town. The chasing of the swallows flying in the sky and their circling on the terraces are wonderful. Swallows still nest in Cuglieri! At night when the many light in town turn on, you feel in a fairy tale. On both terraces there is a lot of greenery because many vases with lush plants are all around. It is great to have your meals outside on the terraces. Indoors, next to the terrace, there is an equipped kitchen. On the terrace there is also a shower corner with hot water. Most of the streets in town are narrow. In front of the house, you arrive with medium-sized cars. At a short distance from the house (two minutes on foot) there are free spaces for parking cars (spaces are not charged). The garage of the house is for bicycles and motorcycles only (maximum 3). In town there are several small shops and two markets. There are two excellent restaurants, a pizzeria, and some bars. Most of the residents belong to families who have lived in town for several generations. Children can play safely on the street in front of the house. Life in Cuglieri takes back to an ancient world. Unfortunately, due to lack of work, many young people had to emigrate. Many houses are uninhabited for many months a year. In summer, the town comes alive because Sardinian emigrants return to their homes on holiday and tourists come around. Natives of Cuglieri feel close to their land and traditions. The ancient town of Cuglieri stands at the foot of Montiferru mountains on the west coast of Sardinia. It is an excellent meeting point between the mountains and the sea. On the same day, in the morning you can take a walk to the mountains and in the afternoon, you can soak in the sea. The geographical position of Cuglieri is halfway between the north and south of the island. It is ideal for making excursions and trips to various locations on the island. Car is suggested. The inhabitants of Cuglieri will welcome you with their genuine sense of hospitality. Guest access Guests can use the whole house. Streets of the old town of Cuglieri are narrow. Huge cars are not suitable to reach the house. Those vehicles can easily be parked in squares or in other parking spaces (they are free and there is always room); those spaces are just a few minutes from the house. In that case, luggage must be carried on foot. If you like, with previous agreement, you may be met by the staff in a point easily accessible by car to be accompanied to the house. Being the house in a central position, all the shops, bars and restaurants are within walking distance. The first time you arrive to the town of Cuglieri, you may feel lost through the various little streets; if necessary, you will always find a resident who is happy to provide you all the necessary information. Through the streets of the little town it is much more relaxing to walk around than driving a car. To leave the town to discover beaches and various places it is good to have a car. A bus service stops at Cuglieri three or four times a day. You can reach the nearest beach of Santa Cartina di Pittinuri by bus. In summer time the bus is full of teen agers that go to the beach the all day long. Other things to note What it makes this house unique are the two wide terraces “up in the air”! On those terraces you have the feeling of touching the sky. And more, you might feel like flying among the swallows. Yes, because in Cuglieri there are still many swallows that build their nests on the walls of the old houses. it is priceless to witness the chasing of chirping swallows in the sky at late afternoons, . They seem to want to include in their joyful twirls all the breathtaking people who admire them. It is a wonderful show. Along the majestic jasmine plant that runs on the facade from the street level to the top of the terrace, every year in spring many small birds, such as sparrows, nightingales, goldfinches, make their nests among the branches covered with little white flowers that perfume the air all around. Newborns take their first flight from the jasmine; when they are still in their nests you can see the mother bird bringing food to them all the time. Amazing feelings that only nature offers! Useless to say that the little flowers spread the scent all around.
