The Engine House, rural escape to Bredon Hill

The Engine House is the perfect base for a romantic break or active outdoors holiday. It's fantastic dog-walking and off-road cycling country, set at the foot of Bredon Hill on the Glos/Worcs border. The house is beautifully-furnished and ready to self-cater with a well-equipped kitchen. Step out of the door, and it's easy access straight onto the hill, to enjoy spectacular views. Or for a friendly welcome and good food, just stroll next door to the Yew Tree Inn. The space The accommodation is south-facing looking over an open lawn. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, slow cooker, kettle and toaster, plus washing machine and fridge (with small ice box). Pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and utensils are plentiful. Complimentary tea and coffee is provided. The open living area has a comfortable sofa (folds to a small double bed) and leather armchair, chest of drawers and cuboard with hanging space. The large TV can be streamed from your smartphone via Chromecast. There is a dining table for two (more chairs can be provided if additional guests). Underfloor heating maintains a stable temperature and keeps toes cosy! Double French doors open to a gravelled area with outdoor seating, parasol and charcoal BBQ - a lovely sunny space to relax with a morning cuppa or refreshing drink! From the living area, the double bed is reached via a sturdy ladder to a mezzanine, with bedside lighting. Off the living area, the large travertine-tiled wet room has a shower, toilet, wash basin, heated towel rail, and storage for your freshly-laundered complimentary towels. Guest access You'll have access to the entire house, off road parking for two cars. Other things to note The Engine House is an open plan living space, with a sturdy angled ladder to the mezzanine sleeping platform which accommodates a new, comfortabe double mattress. Please note the mattress is not the floor as limited head height on the platform. So you'll need to be agile enough to go up and down the ladder! The sofa folds out to make a comfortable small double bed for children (or small adults!) - depends who bagsies the sleeping platform first!
