The Old House

We are located in rural Normandy, France, 500m from a small village. Our home consists of an original house and attached larger house. We live in the larger house and it is the original house which is the accommodation offered here. The accommodation has its own entrance and is separated from our house by thick stone walls. There is a living room at ground level with a corner kitchen and upstairs is a bedroom with en-suite bathroom. It is a very quiet location. The space The property is for an adult couple, one 50 square meter living room and kitchenette combined, plus one bedroom with en-suite toilet, sink and shower. Kitchenette has a fridge, gas hob, microwave, hot water, kettle, toaster. French satellite TV and DVD machine. Wi-Fi included. Dogs are welcome (one only please and no dangerous breeds) and must be house trained! Dogs cannot be left in the house alone. There is a field where the dogs can run out. There are two garden areas: one large area to the side of the house and another smaller area opposite. There are tables and chairs. Visitors are welcome to walk in the field at the end of the our garden where there are lots of trees and you can have a picnic! Guest access The property is entered via a wooden gate which is left open all spring and summer. There is a bell by the gate to attract attention. Guests can come and go as they please. Visitors are welcome to walk around any part of the garden and field. The field is a good spot for a picnic and is very private, being surrounded by trees. Other things to note 1. Please clean the property before you leave. 2. Smoking in the rooms is not permitted (smoke detectors fitted). 3.The person who books the accommodation is the person who must stay in the accommodation ie a third person cannot book. 4. The accommodation is not suitable for children aged 3 to 12. 5. No dog in the bedroom or ensuite bathroom please. 6. Dangerous dogs: hunting (or former hunting) dogs, Doberman, Pitbull, Staffordshire bull, Mastiff, Rottweiler etc. German shepherds are acceptable provided they are trained and controlled.
