The Bothy is a newly converted outbuilding in a quiet cul-de-sac in the pretty village of Shotley Bridge, near Consett, in County Durham. It is located adjacent to the hosts home, but has separate access and parking. The space The Bothy is furnished in neutral colours with new, modern furniture, but includes some features in the style of the main stone-built Victorian house e.g. wood panelling and brass bed frame (bed and mattress newly purchased from Dreams) Guest access You are welcome to use the yard to the rear of The Bothy. This can be accessed via the green gate to the right-hand side of The Bothy. There is a netball post and balls in the yard, which you are also welcome to use. Other things to note There is a local convenience store within 1000 metres of The Bothy. Turn right out of Woodlands Court, then first left onto Rosedale Avenue. Walk along to the end of Rosedale Avenue, then first right onto St. Cuthberts Avenue. The convenience store is on the left at the bottom of the hill.
