Description
Tucked away in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside, The Paddock at Peacock Farm offers peaceful, self-catering accommodation in the scenic village of Redmile. With views of Belvoir Castle, lovely walks and pubs nearby, and easy access to Nottingham, Grantham, and Leicester, it’s the perfect rural retreat. Comfortably styled and fully equipped, it’s a cosy base to relax, recharge, and enjoy everything the Vale of Belvoir has to offer. The space Your Countryside Stay at The Paddock... Our lovely annexe accommodation is part of our family home here at The Paddock in Redmile, offering a cosy, self-contained space with everything you need for a comfortable countryside escape. Whilst adjoined to our home, the annexe has its own private entrance and feel to it, with an accessible ramp, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with shower. Inside, you’ll find one double bed and one single bed, with space to add a cot if needed—ideal for couples, small families, or solo travellers. To help you settle in, we provide a few basic breakfast essentials to get you started - selection of cereals, tea and coffee, fresh milk and fruit juice. During your stay you’ll also have sole use of our hot tub, which overlooks open fields. Please note, the hot tub is located on the opposite side of the house from the annexe, so while it's exclusively for your use, it isn't directly outside your room or completely private. During the warmer months, you're welcome to enjoy our shared garden facilities, which include a BBQ, table tennis, and badminton—perfect for lazy afternoons or relaxed evenings outside. There's also a small seating area just outside your room, ideal for morning coffee or unwinding at sunset. Dog-Friendly (but Allergy-Aware!): We’re proud to be dog-friendly and happily welcome well-behaved four-legged guests for a small fee. Bailey, our friendly Cavapoo, and Bonnie our little labrador love making new friends! We do ask that dogs aren’t left unattended in or on the property, and for guests without dogs—rest assured: rooms are thoroughly cleaned and floors steam-cleaned after every pet stay to maintain a high standard of cleanliness. The Perfect Rural Base... Whether you're visiting for a relaxing staycation, passing through on business, exploring local bridleways, or taking in the many walking and cycling routes around the Vale of Belvoir, The Paddock is a peaceful, welcoming base. We love hosting guests from near and far, and we’re always happy to share local tips to help you make the most of your stay. Guest access Your room at The Paddock has its own private entrance, so you can come and go as you please. Your room will be ready and open on arrival (unless we’ve agreed otherwise), so feel free to make yourselves at home. I’ll pop by at some point to show you around, including the hot tub, but otherwise, you’re free to relax and enjoy your stay. There’s a seating area just outside your room where you can unwind, and you're also welcome to explore our secret garden just across from your room. We have plenty of off-road parking at the top of the drive (on the right as you enter). You’re welcome to drive down to your door to unload, where you’ll find the first set of double doors to your room. Other things to note We offer beauty therapies and massage in our relaxing garden cabin, known as the Zen Den. If you'd like to add any treatments to your stay, please contact Amanda, our skilled masseuse, ahead of time. Her phone number is listed on the treatments menu in the photos. Extra space at The Paddock: A-side from the massage space, we occasionally have our log cabin available to accommodate an additional 1-2 people. It includes a toilet and sink, but guests would need to share the shower in the main accommodation. Please get in touch if you are interested in using the space for additional guests on your trip.
