Refuge in the countryside

Located in the typical and charming Marinha da Mendiga village, where the population still keeps the traditions and customs alive. Casa da Cisterna Velha is a typical house dating from 1930, but with the comfort of our day. Its background is the beautiful Serra d´Aire and Candeeiros, ideal for those who want to escape the stress of everyday life. It is surrounded by a magnificent garden where you can find olive, fig and walnut trees as well as other vegetation. You have at your disposal a private swimming pool where you can relax and admire the charming Serra. If you are a nature lover, venture out on the trails of the Serra d´ Aires e Candeeiros Natural Park (mountain biking, hiking, donkey rides or horse riding) and immerse yourself in the wonders of nature where you can contemplate one of the most beautiful Sunset . Right next door you can visit Fórnea, have a Pic-Nic in the Mendiga lagoons, visit the Mira d´Aire Caves (next door have the water park), Algar da Pena Caves, have the Park where you can find the footprints of Dinosaur. At the cultural level, there is the Porto Mos Castle, the Aljubarrota Center, the Batalha Monastery, the Alcobaça Monastery and the Leiria Castle. The beach of Nazaré is also close to one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal and the emblematic varinas best known by women of 7 skirts, worth visiting.
